Caraș-Severin is a Romanian county in the Banat region with its county capital Reșița (German: Reschitza, Hungarian: Resicabánya). The common abbreviation and car license plate for the county are CS. Located in the southwest of Romania, Caraș-Severin County borders to the north and west with Timiș County, to the northeast and east with Hunedoara County, furthermore to the east with Gorj County, to the southeast and south with Mehedinți County, and additionally to the south and west with the Republic of Serbia.
