Café Turrepitz
About Us
In Mediaș, Turrepitz was an important figure who patrolled the tower of the Mediaș fortress, announcing Turkish or Tatar invasions or fires taking place.
In fact, TurrePitz literally translates to “Petre in the Tower,” with Pitz being a nickname for Peter.
Next to the Peter’s Tower, Café Turrepitz has been operating since the summer of 2018. Traditionally, messages were received here, but now, at Café Turrepitz, messages about history, culture, tradition, and civilization are shared, all thanks to Mr. Lutz Connert.
Address: Mediaș, Sibiu County, Romania |
