Păltiniș (Hohe Rinne) is the oldest mountain ski resort in the country, founded in 1894 by the Transylvanian Carpathian Tourist Society, and is located at an altitude of 1,442 meters.
The Arena Platoș Păltiniș ski and snowboard resort opened its doors for the first time twelve years ago. Currently, the slopes are served by four T-bar lifts and a chairlift. In addition, there is a dedicated toboggan run. All slopes are equipped with night lighting and snow cannons to guarantee an enjoyable ride.
