The inspiration for the “Valea Verde” Resort comes from the Italian concept of “Albergo diffuso” or “scattered hotel,” which has revitalized many abandoned villages in Italy. The well-known British travel magazine “Conde Nast Traveler” has aptly described the concept: “The concept of Albergo diffuso allows for the discovery of traditions in a globalized world. It’s like receiving the key to a village community!” We aim to apply this concept in Cund by renovating traditional farmhouses, preserving their historic charm, and combining it with modern comfort. With this careful blend of tradition and modernity, we hope to provide our guests with an inspiring travel experience. Our goal is to make your stay unforgettable!

We spent many years restoring the charming farmhouses of the village to breathe new life into them and the village itself. Today, our guests can enjoy cozy rooms near the restaurant, each with its own terrace and private entrance. For guests who want to dive deeper into village life, we recommend our apartments or holiday homes in the heart of the village. Here, too, we have made an effort to create a special atmosphere by combining tradition and modernity, for example, you will find traditional terracotta stoves and handmade furniture made from local wood in the rooms. All rooms and houses are classified with 2 or 3 “Margareten” (the local classification system for rural tourism).
In the “Valea Verde” Restaurant, you will find a relaxed, cozy, yet elegant atmosphere. The former restored barn is the perfect place to unwind after a day in Transylvania. Surrounded by nature, we offer you a unique culinary experience, and on clear days, you can also see the Carpathian arc. Gastronomy critics from Austria, Germany, the UK, and Scandinavia recommend the “Valea Verde” Restaurant as a special destination for gourmet travelers. We serve a daily-changing 3, 5, or 7-course menu, prepared with the specialties of the region.
