Peles Castle, located near the town of Sinaia in the Prahova Valley, nestled deep in the Bucegi Mountains 🥰
It was built between 1873 and 1883 on behalf of King Carol I of Romania and confiscated by the communist regime in 1947. After the Romanian Revolution in 1989, Peles Castle was returned to the ex-king Michael, who was living in exile in Switzerland.

Timisoara, always beautiful, and of course we had to visit our probably biggest fan 😊 at Take Five Coffee / Bazara, Strade Lucian Blaga 5, parallel to the street with the umbrellas.
This small café in the heart of the city, yet located in a quiet side street, is always worth a visit. And in addition to the very friendly hostess, as you can see in the picture, you will find not only our brochure “Vacation in Romania” but also avid readers of it 🥰🥰

12th place: Sibiu in Romania
Sibiu was once called Hermannstadt, because the city was founded by the Transylvanian Saxons, German settlers, in the twelfth century. And this beautiful small town gem in Romania still bears witness to that today! Historic houses in colorful alleys and thick old church walls leave no doubt that this town has a lively history behind it.
