The Carpenters’ Tower in Sibiu (in Romanian: Turnul Dulgherilor) was built in the 14th century by the Saxon carpenters’ guild in Sibiu. The tower was part of the city’s third fortification belt and is now the left tower of the still-preserved defensive wall and fortification. It is located on Citadel Street (Harteneckgasse, named after Mayor Johann Sachs von Harteneck).
The Potters’ Tower (Turnul Olarilor in Romanian) was built in the 15th century by the Saxon potters’ guild. It was also part of the city’s third fortification belt and is located to the right of the preserved defensive and fortification wall.
